Among our greatest priorities is ensuring excellence in higher education in the state of Utah.

Among the greatest priorities for the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation is ensuring excellence in higher education throughout the State of Utah. During their lifetimes, both George and Dolores Eccles were actively involved with Utah’s colleges and universities. Their goal: to make available to Utah’s students the highest quality higher education.

Their passion for fostering extraordinary educational opportunities lives on through the Foundation’s support of every college and university in the state. Always, first and foremost, it is focused on the students. Whether grants are designated for scholarships and facilities, investments in the quality of faculty, or support for curricula, libraries, athletics, research opportunities and more, the directors remain committed to educating this generation of Utah’s students – and those to come – to ensure they reach their educational goals, make the most of their talents, and provide the leadership to keep Utah and America strong.

The benefits of investing in education reach far beyond any single campus or community,” says Foundation Chairman and CEO Spencer F. Eccles. “Our grants to education are made as investments in the long-term growth, development, and economic well-being of the people of Utah.”
